The aim of this project is to find new and original sounds to scratch with.
The 2nd installment of 360º Ultrapitch Scratch Samples contains more vocal sounds designed to be used with ultrapitch turntables and Digital Vinyl Systems.
The sounds have been arranged at 133.33 bpm, so they line up with every turn of the record, and are pitched up to twice their normal speed, so they will sound normal when played at -50% pitch.
All the sounds come from hip-hop accapellas, spoken word records and retro video games.
Also included is the same scratch sentence at 99.99 bpm and 166.66 bpm for use with normal turntables.
The 99.99 bpm version will line up to a triangular shape, i.e. at 12 o'clock, 4 o'clock, and 8 o'clock if you look at the record like a clock face, but has not been re-edited so each revolution will push the sequence back by 1 beat per bar.
The 166.66 has been re-edited so it will line up at 12 o'clock every revolution, and can be used on a normal turntable over beats around 70-80bpm. This sentence has 5 beats for every bar so works in a pentagon shape, or 5 points.
